Sharendale Bruni Memorial Drum

This drum is a memorial to our sister-in-law Sharendale, who passed away on July 31, 2015, during our Obon celebration.  Obon honors our memories of family members who have passed away.  We got the barrel from her husband, Matt’s brother Greg.  The design is inspired by a Haiku Susan wrote at another friend’s memorial which reflects on the cherry blossom and butterfly and the short but beautiful lives we live.
