Soaking the Skin
We put the skin in our bathtub for a 24 hour soak. I know, lots of drum makers have little kiddie pools but we sort of enjoy scaring our guests, especially if they are staying overnight. We use cold water for the soak. Occasionally we have been short on time and soaked it for less time and used hot water. We have heard this is not good for the skin, but we have not seen a problem with it.
